Not A Fire Exit…

“How far would you go to save your child’s life?” is the chilling question being asked in “Not A Fire Exit”, the debut novel by author Christopher Finlan. Finlan was inspired to write the book as a way to raise awareness and funds for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), the leading genetic killer of children under age two. He was introduced to the disease in June of 2009 when he learned a friend’s baby daughter was dying from SMA. To date, between proceeds from the sale of the novel and direct donations, thousands of dollars have been raised for SMA charities, including Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy and The Gwendolyn Strong Foundation.

Now soon to be movie, “Not A Fire Exit” follows a mother whose child has been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. The film is being produced by Jojo Road Productions and is slated to being production late this Fall. Infused with suspense, tragedy and love, “Not A Fire Exit” will undoubtedly tug at the hearts of parents everywhere.
