“DA’Strap” is taking over the sports and entertainment industry one strap at a time…

On Thursday May 24, 2013 DA’Strap had the honor of pitching their popular strap on ABC’s popular show “Shark Tank”. This critically acclaimed show gives upcoming entrepreneurs the chance to make their dreams come true, and possibly make a business deal that will make them a millionaire. DA Strap recently participated in: X Games Los Angeles, Sk8 Wars at LA Sports Arena, Teen Motorcross events, Disney events, Emmy gifting lounge, among others…
DA’Strap is a Father/Son duo (President and founder Ernest J. Harris and C.O.O: Jahi E. Harris) that are providing skaters with a high quality product that allows every skater the ability to stay on the go (malls, colleges, schools, etc) with their hands free.
DA’Strap easily connects to any size board leaving the strap placed across the body for easy transport. It is durable, convenient and fashionable (made from very durable materials that come in a variety of colors). With their unique perspective and belief in integrity DA’Strap is making it more acceptable to carry your board in venues that don’t normally allow skaters to carry their boards. DA’Strap is currently available in several skate shops across the US and going worldwide soon. For more information please visit our website.
More about the founders:
Jahi Harris began working in the entertainment industry in 2006 when he started to manage his first R&B artist (Gwen & Rockband) The 3rd Degree. Year after year he moved on two different endeavors and eventually started promoting and hosting events at hot clubs in Orange County in Hollywood. His father (Ernest Harris) brought the idea to him in 2008 but for some reason he didn’t catch on right away. Around the year 2011 is when he really got into the DA’Strap and started promoting it taking it to skate events and eventually getting it into skate shops. He has participated in several celebrity events that included (R&B sensation) Ne-Yo, Eric Roberts, Kangol Kid, Suga Free, Rebecca Crews (Terry Crews Wife), Keith Stallworth (Step Up 3d), Roshon Fegan (Disney’s Shake It Up), Shane Sparks (celebrity dance choreographer) and celebrity jeweler Michael Raven.

Ernest Jahi Harris was born in the state of Georgia, considers Milwaukee as his hometown and moved to Los Angeles in 1964. After graduating from John C. Fremont high school, he inlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served two tours in Vietnam. After completing his service, he began working as a Stationary Engineer. Ernest invented the “Remote Center”in 1993, for which he received a U.S.Patent. Years later, his current product “DA’Strap ” was conceived while observing some school kids holding their skateboards because a section of the sidewalk was uphill. The uphill sidewalk made it difficult for them because they had books, phones and other supplies in their hands. After noticing this PROBLEM with other skateboarders, it was apparent he needed to design a solution. After years of development he perfected his “now patented” product called DA’Strap.
